Date when I get back
Clare got in touch just befor I left the uk looks like I've got a date when I get back . She seems nice wonder what she's like in person.
Paz in town
Paresh Sara turned up to Delhi yesterday went out for beers . Sounds like they have had some fun traveling . It's 5am and I'm heading out to Jaipur in half an hour. I'm nackered , republic day in India too. Best get up

Day in
Had a day in not doing much. Adam headed back home this morning. So I'm able to chill out and not stuff my face . Going to old deli tomorrow I think the place is called chani chock. While I remember there is a guy in the office who has careless wisper as a ring tone . It's hilarious . Managed to get s bottle of old month last night it was 250rs bargain , got it from the dodgy off-licence bar place down the road from the hotel. Got a few strange looks from the locals as we walked up to the bar. But it wasn't as strange as the bouncer stairing at my shoes when we tried and failed to get into the blue Safire bar.

The taj mahal
We went to the taj mahal this morning. It's a bit of a treck 4.5 hours drive. As always the roads were nuts , but I saw a few new things this morning. A cow pulling a cart. It was mildly interesting . Saw lots of Monkeys some in the wild and some at the state boarder. A guy got a monkey to clime a stick and want 8 quid for a photo of it. He got 50 p. Saw a camel pulling a cart to but the camels owner had pimped it up. It had go faster stripes sprayed on it and had it's hair cut to different lengths to make patterns . The taj mahal is pretty cool the surrounding town is a dump. One more thing while we were driving to day a car was coming down the opposite carriage. A car over took it. Then another car over took the second car. Our car had to come off the road to avoid being hit.

Leela hotel
Went to the leela hotel restaurant Last night got to say it's the swankiest hotel I've ever been in the food was pretty good to. I've ate quite a bit today still no sign of the Delhi belly!
Night in delhi centre
Just got back from a night in Delhi. We came back from work and got the metro. It was completely pack but it felt safe. They have female only cars on the metro that are mostly empty. The other cars are packed to the gill . I had heard bad things about the metro but I never felt I was about to get pick pocked or anything like that. Went to s Bar called qbar in Delhi and got some food. The music was great awesome chilled out ambient dance music. We took a ride on a took took between bars , they are great fun. I want to buy one and drive back to Leeds on it.

Mystery Solved
Went to the mall last night. It was just like being in any shopping centre in England really same shops. Cinema was pretty much the same. They had a england themed pub, which was pretty terrible and a german on which was ok. Since we arrived Adam has been pretty worried that any food item he picked up seemed to be past it's sell by date. Well we found out last night that things are done different here. Indian food does not have a best before date it had a manufacture date. You should eat everything within 6 months of manufacture. Guess that means the snacks and drinks in the rooms mini bar are safe to eat then. I'll let Adam test them first though. Tomorrow were taking the metro to Delhi centre.
At work in India
Had my first commute to work today. It was like mad max , only the strong survive. Also Adam and I have yet to find anything to eat where the packaging say it's less than six months out of date.

Drive from the airport
Crazy drive on the way to the hotel. Saw a family on a motorbike. Nobody seems that keen on driving in lanes. I decide that seat belts are a necessity '

On the plane to Delhi
Business class rocks. Just been told I can't have a brandy and coke until I take off. My only choice are champagne or water :( . Lifes hard!
Virgin business lounge
Should have packed my trunks , in the virgin business lounge at Heathrow airport. There is a complementary spar with Jacuzzi and sauna . Free restaurant and cocktail bar it's pretty bloody swanky . Thinking about getting some food and playing a game of pool !
The food was pretty good too had to run to the plane though

India in the morning
Well I'm shipping out to india Tomorrow. Need to get some new trousers , and some other stuff. But I'm mostly ready. Looking forward to seeing what it's all about. Girl on match pissed me of last night. X copper probably a self opinionated wind up merchant . But he's she annoyed me. My plan for India is to have a good time, going to walk around like I own the place. This is my yard when I get there.

It all starts here
Just woke up , slept for the last 24 hours . New years eve was ok apart from the first party which was a little weird . Some guy to a dislike to me for no reason at all. I guess the drinks got to me a bit. The new year starts here. Got some options too. Clare contacted me yesterday , I though she had disappeared but she's back. Going to ask her out for drinks before I go out to India . Sa from work also emailed me the other day she's not letting it go. I also need to get back in the gym. Got to get my maths on today!
